This lens is manufactured from H-K9L optical glass, a Chinese optical grade equivalent to Schott N-BK7. This crown glass is selected for its excellent combination of properties crucial for projection:
High Transparency & Low Absorption: Provides exceptional light transmission (approx. >92% per 10mm thickness in the visible spectrum) from 350nm to 2000nm, minimizing light loss and heat buildup.
Excellent Homogeneity & Stability: The material features high uniformity in refractive index, ensuring consistent performance across the entire lens aperture and preventing image distortion. It offers good chemical and physical stability for long-term reliability.
Precision Optical Surfaces: Both convex spherical surfaces are ground and polished to high levels of accuracy (typically to λ/4 surface figure or better), with tight tolerances on focal length and centration to maintain sharp, aberration-free image projection.
Custom Anti-Reflective Coating: Available with broadband AR coatings optimized for the visible spectrum (e.g., 420-680nm), significantly reducing reflections to enhance contrast and maximize system luminous efficiency.
